Vic, a struggling artist reeling from the recent death of his mother, meets Elaine, a wealthy and beautiful middle-aged woman, who seduces him in the hopes of sexually exploiting him. Desperate for money, Vic reluctantly agrees to work as a male escort. When he meets Emily, Elaine’s estranged daughter visiting from France in hopes to reunite with her mother, he changes his mind and his life. Vic and Emily move from Chicago to San Francisco. Soon, money troubles, Emily’s secret failing health, and Vic’s sordid past force him to fight for the woman he loves.
