Description
Randy, felt alone, didn't' feel like he belonged. At the age of 12, a doctor, in Montreal, delivered news, that, would change how he navigated through life, forever. Shock, shame and anger, turn to, determination, hope and motivation. You see, that day, Randy learned he would be wheelchair bound…DISABLED…Randy would be tested many more times. If anyone had reason to give up and give in, it would be Randy. Yet this book tells a different story. With raw honesty, Randy shares his experience so others will know they are not alone and love is indeed, possible. It is the amazing journey of relentless adversity, a man’s faith and courage in the face of it (wheelchair bound, quadriplegic, blind, ventilator reliant), the conviction that all life is worth living.
About the author
About the Author Randall Terrence Romain was born in the little lumber community of Fort Coulonge, Québec, and later moved to Buckingham, Québec. Randy currently lives in Ottawa with his wife, Maura. Randy believes individuals with a disability are no different than anyone else. They need to be included and integrated into society, and to be given the chance to reach their goals. He thinks that everyone is special and unique, and that they should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Consequently, Randy works tirelessly advocating for himself and others to provide adequate resources and housing. Randy currently sits on the board of his supportive housing provider, The In Community; provides peer support with CPA (the Canadian Paraplegic Association); and volunteers with the Catholic Immigration Centre teaching conversational English.
