About the author
Nathan Nash was born in Red Deer, Alberta, in 1972, but left forever when he was six months old. Since then, he has lived and travelled around Canada and the world, both while growing up and as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for over 20 years.
Nathan graduated from high school in Ten Sleep, Wyoming before pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Royal Roads Military College and at Collège militaire royal de St-Jean. After several postings, he returned to university part-time and completed another undergraduate degree – this time in Translation and Writing – at the University of Québec in the Outaouais. After an operational tour in support of Afghanistan, he again returned to university part-time and completed a graduate degree in Security and Defence Policy and Management from the Royal Military College of Canada. He also holds a qualification in IT project management.
Nathan is now a public servant for the Canadian federal government, a husband, and a father for three hockey players, a servant for three cats, as well as an active member of the community. He is an avid fan of music – primarily heavy metal groups like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Alice Cooper, but also of other types of music in English and French, including Les Cowboys Fringants.
