About the author
Richard Maisenbacher was born in Columbus, Ohio and began a walk with the Lord in 1977. When he was 28, he began attending a traditional church and received the baptism in the Spirit a year later. After participating in everything available in his church, he began to see that many of the requirements placed on him did not line up with his understanding of the Bible. In 1988, Richard and his family moved to Florida to pursue prophetic training, igniting a quest to learn more about hearing God, healing, relationships and deliverance. Richard and his wife, Rebecca, incorporated Covenant Outreach Ministries in 1999, and began a house group meeting in 2002 with the goal of facilitating spiritual training. Initially, the group of seven studied together with a focus on healing and the prophetic. Though the ministry has grown, Richard’s focus remains the same. His heart is to see people healed and trained as they pursue a closer walk with Christ based in a deeper understanding of the covenant relationship we have with Him. He is a graduate of Ball State University in Business and Physical Education. He completed his Masters Degree in School Counseling from St. Francis College; his ministry degree from King’s Way School of Theology; and received a Master of Christian Counseling from Christian International Graduate School of Ministry. Richard is ordained through Covenant Ministries under Randi and Cathy Lechner, and has also received extensive training through Streams Ministries with John Paul Jackson. He has spent over 30 years in the school system as a guidance counselor, and was a tennis teaching professional for 14 years. Currently, he is a founder of and oversees The Covenant Center and is an adjunct professor at Southeastern University. Richard is currently writing his second book, The Ball’s In Your Court.
