Espectaculo Intimo

Marvellous poems wiht a dazzling illustrations of well known venezuelan plastic artists. A book that shows us how is the intimate process of the writer which ends in wonderful poems and also the marriage, the interpretation of a reader, the illustrator who works also on the writing generating another original piece of art. In April 2010, during the celebrations of the month of the poetry in Caracas, the Alliance Française organized an art exhibition that presented a selection of forty of Rafela ´s poems illustrated by different Venezuelan plastic artists. The result of this experience is the edition of "Espectáculo Intimo", a publication that combines the construction-deconstruction work of different hands, where the writing process and the tools used by the writer to create her text -papers, drafts, erasures, notes and observations- work as an inspiration material in parallel with the plastic development that it generates. RAFELA BIMBO, Caracas, Venezuela,1946. Psychologist,M.S.C in Politics and Social Communications Planning for Latin America, PHD in Political Science and full Professor at Faculty of Humanities at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She studied Latin American Literature, Psychoanalysis and Arts in France and Spain, and has a specialization in Latin American and Foreign Children´s Literature from the Institute of Hispanic Culture, at Madrid. During the seventies and the eighties, a selection of her poems was published in the supplement"Papel Literario" of "El Nacional" (a well known newspaper in Venezuela. In 1980, Rafela was invited to participate in an innovative event called "El Paquete Erótico"(The Erotic Package) which combined literature, plastic arts and other disciplines. Throughout her intelectual path, she has been associated with different creative movements and artists as a collaborator, researcher and consultant of literary,musical,photografic,theatrical ,cinematography and plastic arts circles.
