Overview
Meet Eric.  At school, he's learning about the brain and all of its functions, but the long lecture about things that are too hard to pronounce is making him sleepy!  The next thing he knows, Eric finds himself at Eric's Brain Elementary, where he meets Pablo the Pons, who shows Eric around his brain and introduces him to Theo the Thalamus and all of the other "friends" who help him to play soccer, decide what he wants for lunch, learn math, and be HIMSELF.  This lively narrative teaches children about the brain's complex functions and promotes awareness of their health and bodies.  So, tag along with Eric and his friends and learn about your busy brain!

About the author
Lema Abuoqab is a student, an educator, artist, and writer. All of these qualities evolve around her love for children and pursuit of medicine. Lema grew up in Fort Myers, Florida where she attended Canterbury School from pre-school to twelfth grade. She is currently attending Tufts University as a biology major on the premedical track. In addition to her aspirations in medicine, Lema is passionate about children's education and providing pathways to develop a love for the sciences at a young age. As the oldest of four children, she has become quite the connoisseur of bedtime stories, and is interested in how children's literature can be improved to provide an interactive, engaging, and educational experience to young readers and inspire them to explore their own interests in the world of science.
