Overview
The book is to raise awareness, identify abusive behaviors and take action to prevent harm to people in our communities.
Description
Domestic violence occurs across all cultures, religions, ethnicities, genders, and socio-economic groups worldwide. Domestic violence happens worldwide; therefore, the solution should involve the whole world. Every country must first acknowledge that it is a crime to abuse women. After that, each country should have legal centers to handle domestic violence.
About the author
Rev. Margaret B. Olawaiye was born to Chief & Mrs. J.I. Faturoti from Orin, Ekiti State, Nigeria, West Africa. I was one of the pioneers of the Methodist Girls' High School, Ifaki, Ekiti. (1961 - 1966) set. After my high school certificate (H.S.C.) at Ekiti Parapo College, Iddo-Ekiti (1967 – 1968), I relocated to the United States of America. I married my husband, Otunba Adedokun J. Olawaiye, in New York City. God blessed us with five beautiful and awesome children - Oluyemi, Ayoola (Now late), Olufisayo, Atinuke, and Ibukun. I have my associate degree in Applied Science, Bachelor's degree, and Master's degree, all in the United States. When my husband and I finished college, the Federal Government of Nigeria recruited us and flew us back to Nigeria to start our Nigerian Youths Service Corp (N.Y.S.C.). In 1992, the Lord called me into His service. In 1995, I became the Pastor/Founder of Wonderful Pentecostal Church. I relocated back to the U.S.A. Buffalo City, New York. In 1999, I wrote my first book titled, "Why Women May Never Keep Silence in The Church" (ISBN:1-55630-289-4) USA. In 2007, I graduated from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary with my master's degree in Christian Ministry. I also had my Grand-ordination here too. I am the founder/C.E.O. of God's Own Widows Worldwide, Inc. (U.S.A. Chapter). In 2016, I was the matron of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Iyana-Ipaja district under CAN district chairman Pastor Obule Mike (Late). God is presently enlarging the coast of my foundation for the worldwide widows. Praise God.
