About the author
Jen and Sarah met over 16 years ago and together have experienced weddings, births, interstate relocations, home renovations, overseas holidays, cyclones and the odd hens’ night kidnapping.
After many a long distant phone call from one end of the country to the other, Jen and Sarah discovered their love for Paranormal Romance – a little romance for Jen and a hint of supernatural for Sarah. After their favourite book series came to an end, they decided to take matters in to their own hands, writing their own Paranormal Romance. A crazy late night conversation turning into a wild adventure, which cemented their friendship and created the Enlightened book series!
Jen is passionate about all things books. Her first written work was available for loan in her primary school library when she was in the fourth grade.
Jen's first love was Darcy, from Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice. Since then she has been an avid romance reader but never shied away from trying something new. It was Sarah that introduced Jen to stories of the supernatural, sprinkling a little tall dark and scary into her favored tall dark and handsome stories.
When not on the phone to Sarah, Jen can be found chasing after her two young boys, pottering in her garden or creating something in the kitchen.
For Jen the hardest thing about writing a book, is putting down whatever it is she is currently reading!
Sarah has forever had a fascination with the supernatural. Her introduction to the horror genre was with Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot and she now devours all things scary. It was Jen that introduced Sarah to the world of Romance but she is still trying to delay the promised Pride and Prejudice marathon with Jen!
As a keen story teller, this is not Sarah’s first collaboration in story writing. Sarah’s first co-writing venture began in primary school - A Choose Your Own Adventure style tale, with a spooky storyline and an unpredictable twist.
When not on the phone to Jen, Sarah loves having lunch dates with her two daughters, watching horror movies with her husband and planning her next renovation project.
For Sarah the hardest thing about writing a book, is trying not to misplace the latest plot twists that’ve been scrawled on the back of her shopping dockets!
