About the author
R. W. (Robert William) Burke was born in 1965 in Mineola, Long Island, NY. As a child he witnessed the 1970s and as a teenager the beginning of the '80s. In January of 2012 he had his 48th birthday in a hospital that he was born in then almost died in. It was then he reflected on his own life and asked himself, "Why am I alone? Why am I poor? Where did everyone go?" Seven years later he finished his book, Emory Road. He found the answers to his own questions in realizing what a crazy life he lived! And yet still had some wonderful people in it. He thought by putting out his book people might reflect on their own lives and remember tomorrow is another day, and anything can happen.
