However, with guidance from an older, wiser doggie and Ellie's Papa, she learns about the significance of God's Sabbath day. Ultimately, Ellie learns that the Sabbath is far more meaningful and profound than she had imagined. The book is rich in theological content but articulated in a manner that is accessible to both children (and adults).
