About The Author

I have been involved in photography for over 35 years. I grew up in a time when photography was a science that demanded an in-depth understanding of the relationship between light, shutter speed, and their resulting harmony on the exposed film. Spending many hours in a darkroom, I worked to bring about results that expressed a moment of time in a way that brought enjoyment to the viewer. In the early years working with film I started out with a 35mm then spent years carrying a Pentax 6X7. Finishing what I called those “film” years packing around a 4X5 field camera. Today I have embraced the full frame digital world and its methods. Even though technology has changed the way my darkroom looks, the commitment to challenge and inspire people who look at my work still remains paramount. Over the years I have been represented by fine galleries in New Mexico, Kansas, and Texas. Canon USA awarded my photography work in the National Park System, licensing that work for their purpose. Also, several pieces of my work have been permanently displayed in the "Art of Emprise" collection. This highly acclaimed, bank owned art collection highlights artists that have a connection to Kansas, The Prairie State.
