Poetry book about early life of puertorrican pioneers in New York City.
The book gives a historic view in prose, of the first people of Puerto Rico that arrived to New York city seeking employment and formed The Barrio Latino, an area in east Harlem. They brought with them a strong culture of community living, their music and food, beliefs, language and heritage. The poetry goes in the heart of the people with the nostalgia that remains after the loss of their mother land.
