Description
Echoes of Yesteryear is a collection of memories: memories of growing up in the Midwest and then in San Francisco, memories of serving in the U.S. Army in various locations such as Denmark and Vietnam, memories of civil service in San Jose, and memories of family, young and old. It is the story of a veteran, a civil servant, a father, and a husband.
About the author

James Daniels is a retired U.S. Army Officer and a former civil servant for the city of San Jose. He currently resides in Redding, California with his wife, Judith. They enjoy golfing, attending Shakespearean performances in Oregon, traveling to jazz festivals, raising honeybees, making wine, and tending their citrus trees.

Christy Tillinghast is a technical editor and publishing coordinator for an energy research company located in Palo Alto, California. She and her husband, Marc, and their two children reside in Louisville, Colorado. In her spare time, she attends her son's hockey games and her daughter's plays. Collaborating with her uncle on this memoir has been an enlightening and enjoyable endeavor.
