Dupee Dupont MD

By Helene Bloom and Fran Levine

Overview

DUPEE DUPONT, a sweet, loveable, little Black puppy, was adopted from a Shelter in Puppyville by an aging Bull dog named Sadie Lady... Dupee was only 3 months old and weighed 3 pounds. She told Dupee that his grandfather and great grandfather were watchdogs, and that she wanted him to follow in the family tradition and become the best watchdogs he could be. Dupee, wanting to please his newfound mom and not wanting to disappoint her, set out every morning with his brother Taz to train to become a watchdog. However, every day Dupee's attention was drawn to trashcans filled with torn and discarded stuffed animals, and each day Dupee became more and more determined to save and fix the stuffed animals he saw in distress. Dupee starts to realize that he just was not meant to be a watchdog and that his "doctoring ability" was much better than his "watchdog ability". Eventually, word spreads throughout Puppyville about Dupee and how he can fix the neighborhood pet's beloved stuffed animals. Dupee pursues his dream to become a doctor of stuffed animals of companion pets. He attends Bark College and graduates "Dupee Dupont, MD."
