Overview
Dulcinea: The Calico Queen shows just how regal she is when the young Capo shows up in her kingdom full of instinct and desire for fun. She's not a queen wearing a glittery crown or sitting on some fancy thrown, but one who has chosen love over other instincts.
Description
Dulcinea, or Dulcey for short, is a lovely calico cat who enjoys her kingdom including all the birds and bugs until a young feral cat, Capo, comes along to disturb her peace and that of her kingdom. He loves to play and his favorite creatures to "play" with are all the beautiful delicate little song birds which are no match for his sharp claws and strong long arms. Dulcinea, as queen, must do something about this GREAT disturbance to her kingdom, a sanctuary for all living beings. You will want to read the book to find out how she gently guides young Capo and protects her kingdom at the same time.
