Description
Dream of Broken Feathers is a collection of poems and stories that explore how intuition, instinct and spirit form a fabric of common existence. It is about the loss of the beloved, and the relationships that rain upon the earth. Take a journey inside the Self, Nature, and what might lie beyond. Discover what it is, to become a sparrow. There are stories of the travels of the spirit, of conversations with the wind, of ancient tribal moments, and of perceptions from those who lived in another time. There is a continual reflection on the departing of the soul and of the distant voice that it continues to speak with. There are short stories of a diner in the universe, a little boy and a bird sharing the unknown, and a chance meeting of an old cowboy and a man who restored an old car opening a deep connection between both of them. There are dreams and hopes, and forgiveness, and prayers. It is about knowing the deepest part of our selves, through poetry and short stories of the heart.
About the author
I remember a moment when I was nine. I was standing on the front lawn. A question entered my mind. “What am I doing here?” Now, many years later, I am more at peace with the question. I live in New York State, where the seasons remind me, that everything returns home. -Jeff Edrich
