Overview

A collection of poetry by Missouri poet, Tena Mae Sivils. These poems were written during the time of the coronavirus shutdown. Many of the themes are universal.

Description

Tena Mae grew up “country” and can still speak the language when appropriate.  Dogs in the Kitchen and the Pandemic Chicken reflects on the circular journey of a girl wanting to escape her roots, leaning on the lessons her upbringing taught her to survive, and ultimately embracing this life once again with gratitude.
