Coger's commentary takes readers on a journey through colors found in the Bible, helping them understand and work toward the reality that all humans descended from a common ancestor, regardless of their skin color. Skin color intersects with class, culture, and geography, and even shapes how we see and value ourselves. In the book Does Color Matter?, Coger weaves an exciting commentary on biblical passages, science, and history with his personal testimony. This is essential work for seminary students, teachers, and anyone who wants to delve deeper into biblical theology.

Description

A beautifully written, credible account of the lineal descent of mankind, using direct quotes of color from the Bible and science. Coger's clear, concise style, combined with direct links to the actual biblical accounts, leaves the reader no room for further speculation about the colors of mankind. Does Color Matter stresses the hows and whys so that readers can gain a genuine exegesis and interpretation of the Bible's fundamental principles. This work should be required reading in seminary schools of theology. A book that undresses previous biblical criticism of interpretations layer by layer and asks the theological question that begs to be answered . . . why has this reality been kept secret for so long?

About The Author

About the Author Clyde C. Coger, Jr. is a native of Dallas, Texas, where he attended El Centro Jr. College and the University of Texas at Arlington, studying philosophy and liberal arts. He says about his pursuit of a degree, "The study of philosophy was exciting, but it was missing something, something profound, something divine. It was the distance from God, brought about from the study of this discipline, which sent me on a journey exploring religion." He settled in Memphis, Tennessee, where his Home Bible Study group began, which later evolved into Profound Eminent Word Teaching Ministries. The Teaching Ministry offers a comprehensive curriculum: ABCs of the Bible: For Adults. Profound Eminent Word (PEW) Teaching Ministries is a classical apologetics ministry designed to defend biblical truths and equip believers/nonbelievers alike with answers to questions and struggles experienced in today's culture. Mr. Coger can be contacted via email at: clydecoger@profoundeminentwordteachingministries-org.co.site or online at https://profoundeminentwordteachingministries-org.co.site He considers himself a teacher and a "man of the pew," believing that his work reflects the message conveyed in Daniel 12:3-4 "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal up the book, even to the end of time: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
