DILEMMA captures some of Raven Shelby's experiences with love, loss, and identity over the years and is her debut work as a long-time poet and writer. With the birth of her son, came the courage to put her work out for public consumption and she is thrilled to embark on this new journey.

DILEMMA takes the reader on a journey through the heart and mind of a young woman sorting through her experiences of love, loss, and identity. The poems in this collection are raw revelations of truth, desire, pain, and triumph and flow seamlessly together to form a symphony of emotions that sing from the pages.

Raven Shelby is a lover of culture, arts, and language. She holds a dual Bachelors of Arts in English and Philosophy and a Masters of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Management. She is committed to her work in Critical Race Theory and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through creative writing, story-telling, and dialogue. Raven Shelby is from Prince George's County, Maryland and lives there with her son, Mecca; their two Yorkies, Bruno and Braxton; and her very close-knit family.
