Dr. Crystal M. Giddings is a retired school counselor of 26 years from Atlanta and Cobb County Schools in Georgia serving at the middle and high school levels. Her accolades include Counselor of the Year, Writer of the Year, and National Association of Education Humanitarian Award. Currently, Dr. Giddings is an Assistant Professor and School Counseling Field Coordinator at Clark Atlanta University in the Counselor Education Department. She authored "When School Counseling Hurts: A Call for Advocacy, a book chapter in "Invitational Education and Practice in Higher Education", is a conference presenter, and often requested as a motivational speaker.
Kenya DeBarros is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia and a contributing author. In this book she reflects on her high school days and offers real solutions to reducing stress levels in college, and beyond.
