Overview

"I have been asked to tell you about the North Wind. I am going to tell you about a boy who met North Wind and how it fared with him in the beginning."

Thus starts this classic fairy tale. Diamond is a boy who lives in a  carriage house and is visited by the North Wind. She takes him with her as she flies through London and does her work. This newly illustrated story is an excerpt from At the Back of the North Wind, written by beloved Scottish author, George MacDonald, and first printed in 1871.
