About The Author

TERESA A. GALLAGHER grew up in Somerset, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army. She served a total of 26 years in the U.S. Army, on active duty and in the Army National Guard, holding command and staff positions. Teresa earned a Master's of Education in Biology, teaching certification, and principal certification from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. She taught biology, chemistry, and physical science to at-risk youth. In 2009, she deployed to Iraq as the 28th Combat Aviation Brigade Commander. She is enjoying retirement and spending time with her two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.
