Detective Kids

Overview

The first in a six book series that I began writing when when I was 10 years old, Detective Kids follows the adventures of Jake Conway and Kevin Broxporch, two ten year olds with a gift for solving crimes and mysteries. Drawn from real world scenarios, this series isn't your parent's Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys!

Description

Detective Kids is about Jake Conway and Kevin Broxporch, two 10 year olds who solve mysteries that take them throughout the world, as they work with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. The series is filled with real world situations and international intrigue, making use of modern crime fighting techniques and technology. The thing I personally find interesting about the series is that the books grow in maturity as the series progresses. The first book was written from the perspective of a ten year old, as I grew, so did the series. I have been told that this is a good thing as it gives the reader a chance to grow not only with the story, but with the author.

About the author

Hello, my name is David Licht. I’m thirty-two years old. I live outside of the Niagara Falls, NY area. I’m a lover of sports, reading and watching movies. I've earned my associates degree in network design, and networking forensic. I am an reader of history and technology. I enjoy working with my friends to better the community to the best that it can be whether that is with my writing ability or with charities close to my heart. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember and continually write on a daily basis. I started writing little ideas at the age of five. I’ve always used my writing to exercise my overactive imagination. Like most five year olds my imagination would take me on wild adventures; the difference being I would write stories about my adventures.
