A story of an illiterate young man who lived in abject poverty until he befriends a German tourist in Jamaica. Together they accidentally discover a large treasure trove in the coastal waters of western Jamaica. Megan Dodds Bateman from Cardiff, Wales inherits thousands of acres of land near Ocho Rios in Jamaica and invests heavily in a resort hotel and golf course. Her single focus is maximizing her wealth, and she markets hundreds of acres of her land to wealthy and prestigious clients for the construction of beautiful homes. Her dream is to own an exclusive enclave for the international rich and famous. Miss Bateman falsely accuses Delbert of theft, and exploits her influence in Ocho Rios to have him jailed. Delbert's German friend Hans, provides evidence to prove Delbert's innocence, and the book tells how Delbert and his friend sell their fortune in precious coins and jewels to Miss Bateman, and use their new wealth to help many Rastafarians who become their friends. The book tells how Delbert gets his unique revenge for the injustice by Miss Bateman, the ginnal woman, who tried to destroy him and his relationship with the young woman he loves.

About the author

Paul Foreman retired from an executive position with a major US corporation. He holds BS, MS and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois, and served on the faculty of LIfe Sciences at Eastern Illinois University for five years, prior to a thirty year career in private industry. He was born in Jamaica, and has both Jamaican and US citizenship. This is his second novel, and he is currently working on his third. He lives with his wife in Louisville, Kentucky.
