Defining Moments

The thriving, international city of New Orleans is brimming with delicious food, unique music, and eccentric, sometimes backwards, culture. Exposure to such a rich, diverse environment pushed a young Jeffrey Pipes Guice to explore more. He would spend years in New York City and Washington D.C. and travel the world. He traversed, Europe, Africa, Asia, and even spent some time in Antarctica. The only place he never set out to discover was inside himself.

Exposure to such a rich, diverse environment pushed a young Jeffrey Pipes Guice to explore more. He would spend years in New York City and Washington D.C. and travel the world. He traversed, Europe, Africa, Asia, and even spent some time in Antarctica. The only place he never set out to discover was inside himself. "Defining Moments" is a poetic journey within. Prose stories are mixed into the lyrical works which express the excitement of discovery and insights gained from a lifetime of travel— plus a bit of introspection.

After spending years working in Washington, DC and New York City, and traveling extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as some interesting cities like Yemen, Havana, Jerusalem, Moscow, Argentina and Antarctica; Jeffrey Pipes Guice came to the realization that he had never really stopped to discover himself, who he was, and who he wanted to be. This first book of poetry and short stories are based on his journey and where he is today in this current chapter of life. Hopefully there will be more to come as he continues to travel on this exciting road of self discovery.
