About the Author Michael Edmonds is a Clarksville, Tennessee-based worship leader and recording artist whose life is anchored in a resilience shaped by early loss. Growing up in Queens, New York, his world was changed at a young age when his mother passed away, and his father was placed in an adult home due to his own challenges. Raised by his grandparents, Michael faced a long, challenging path during his teenage years to overcome deep obstacles regarding his own identity. Experiencing these profound hardships firsthand taught him the true value of empathy, faith, and perseverance. Through God's grace, those difficult early years sparked a lifelong dedication to music ministry that has spanned over 20 years. While Michael has been blessed with meaningful milestones—including performing at the Apollo Theater and receiving several national music awards—he views these achievements not as personal triumphs, but as opportunities to point others toward hope. His book, Dear Teenager, is a sincere, personal extension of that mission. Written from God's perspective as a Father, the book offers gentle, honest guidance to help the next generation navigate their own life challenges with faith and confidence.
