Deadly Insult

A musically gifted child from a wealthy family, Brianna was adored, watched over, but encouraged to be a free spirit. Her kidnapping at the young age of four left the whole family traumatized, but with security a constant presence in the beauty’s life, Brianna was able to move past the ordeal and follow her dreams of performing as the pop star `Anna`. Though dear friends and a younger sister, Lacey, were able to assist Anna through the difficult period of growing up, death seemed to follow on the wake of Anna’s journey toward success. Life as a pop star was demanding but fulfilling and filled with a never-ending barrage of autograph seekers and stalkers. This did not lessen as the years passed by. Receiving an urgent phone call from Lacey who needed help with a rude and obnoxious future brother-in-law hindering plans for a wedding, Anna hopped a flight to Boston to assist in any way possible. The pop star was determined to overcome the extremely negative bias of the man and to teach this dour man a lesson. However, danger, chaos and death reign as Anna is put on the `hot seat` of terror as well as love.

Though Brianna Ferrini’s early life was filled with a loving family and much laughter; she still bore emotional scars from a traumatizing incident at age four. She was able to overcome this and move on with her life to enjoy friendships, activities, singing and music writing. Her voice, as everyone realized who heard her sing, was a true instrument of beauty and soul and soon she was leading the charts as the popular Anna. While getting ready for a sold-out concert tour across the U.S., Anna receives an urgent call from her sister, Lacey. Lacey requires Anna’s assistance in trying to overcome prejudice from a cynical, exasperating future brother-in-law, Drew Douglas, who is from a wealthy `old school` Boston family. Drew considers Lacey is cut from the `same cloth` as her older sister and will not be an appropriate match for his brother Tad. In his mind, `pop star` is synonymous with harlot, slut and loose woman. Certainly, in Drew’s opinion, Lacey’s behavior is sure to be a mirror image of her older sister’s; and thus; the younger Ferrini should not be part of his esteemed family. Anna immediately resolves to go to her sister’s aid and while doing so, is determined to teach Drew a lesson in pre-judging people. Deception on her part is first on the list of to-dos upon arrival at the Douglas estate. This pretense leads to even more entanglements for the pop star which snowballs into another hoax. Anna’s determination to teach the master of the house that `all is not as it seems` becomes even more complicated as she gets to know the man better. vil descends upon the household simultaneously with Anna’s arrival. The resultant terror brings about shock and dismay to all as incident after incident ensues. Accidents, injuries and even deaths follow but the mystery of it all is quick to unravel. The connection to all the mayhem occurring centers on the talented Anna.

Having a vivid imagination for both details and possible scenarios for plots has had Patricia Heaton Harris hungering for the chance to get published. This mother from northeast Ohio and now living in Knightdale, N.C. has, over the last few years, became determined to fulfill her lifelong dream of writing mystery/romance novels. She had no time during her married years to write because of being a full-time mother and housewife. Patricia worked full time in nursing then as a full-time school nurse. Her non-working time was filled by driving her three daughters to various sports, dance classes, and activities and by studying hard to complete her bachelor degree then her master’s degree all at the same time. Nonetheless, Patricia was able to publish her first novel in June, 2010, titled `Miami Justice`. She continued to write and edit over the next two years to publish this second book, Deadly Insult`, and is currently working to revise a third screen play into a novel. Patricia’s sense of timing and development in a plot; the intrigue she brings forth by brilliantly inserting `twists` into her story; the keen art of character development and her way with words; all are factors that have intrigued her readers who are now asking for more.
