"De Veaux-etry" is a collection of all of the poems that did not find their way in to my first published book. ("Love and Truth are Always Free"). When my first book was published the poems in this book were still in limbo. I struggled to complete each poem with just the right word(s). I wanted to make sure that I could convey my thoughts, my feelings or my point of view. Sooo, here it is ! I hope that you enjoy it.

About The Author

Dorkas De Veaux. Born and raised in West Philadelphia. Loving life from the moment she realized that she was Loved. Dorkas grew up in a large extended family, full of Aunties, Uncles, a sister, a brother and a host of cousins. From the "Black bottom" in West Philly to the Pyramids in Egypt, Dorkas is having the time of her life, living it well. Very well. Dorkas is a people person, serving as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at a major Philadelphia inner city hospital. She has found her passion with her art and her poetry. Dorkas can be found doing poetry recitals and showing her drawings at multiple venues through out the tri-state area spanning as far as Connecticut. She is known for being the life of the party and absolutely loves to entertain. Her poetry covers all subjects and she loves to give you her point of view. This book: De Veaux-etry, will give the reader a look in to the mind of a literal genius.
