Cassie Lester and Bax Clancy find themselves entwined in intrigue and danger when Cassie discovers a world of magic and demons really exists and that she plays a large part in it.

Cassie Lester is an insurance actuary who manages risk and yet sees none in her life. After an encounter in a mall parking lot she finds her life has been a lie and finds herself on the run, in complete ignorance of the world that has just opened itself to her. Baxter "Bax" Clancy is a history professor who deal in ancient "artifacts" and as a side line hunts Demons that are the scourge of the magical world. When he sees Cassie is an attempted kidnapping he rushes in to be the hero and save her, never knowing the depths of danger to which he's opened himself. Together Cassie and Bax discover the truth about Cassie and open a world to her that Bax "knows" but has not truly seen. They find themselves caught up in a fight between gods and goddesses of a world that's been shunned by most of the rest of the universe. When Cassie is revealed to be something most thought was a myth, they find themselves on the run from the most dangerous predator on Earth, a Demon.

Severine Wolfe is a pen name. It's also a name I've used across the gaming world for 15 years. I answer to, "Hey, Sev!" just as easily as my birth name. I am married and have four grown children with my first grandchild due soon. I love to read and I read everything from treatises on philosophy to theories on the speed of light to the most bawdy of bodice rippers. My interests are varied but reading, knitting and gardening are my top three. Extreme knitting, not for the faint of heart.
