Description
Dare to Stimulate is the debut collection of anecdotes, opinions, and advice from author, Ryan Brueckner. This five-chapter literary collection has one distinct purpose: to stimulate a reader's mind and trigger a reaction. Some observations will draw out conversations and memories, while others will bring laughter and surprise. Regardless, each page allows a reader to challenge the topic, engage with the observation, and reflect, react, and reconnect with the surrounding world. No rules are associated with this text, but here are some guiding principles: Each page should stimulate your mind, if not, move on to a quote, passage, or thought that does. While the five sections provide structure for the types of intellectual curiosities you might find relevant in each, nothing should prevent you from loosely engaging with the content. Successful engagement with each topic depends on your state of mind at that moment in time, so you should do what feels natural. Challenge the topic, engage with the observation, and allow yourself to reflect, react, and re-engage with yourself and the world around you. Lastly, and most importantly, always strive to the best version of yourself every day. No recipe to cracking this damn near impossible task exists, but the following pages may help push you in the right direction. People come from diverse backgrounds and are driven by unique sets of circumstances and experiences, yet all our minds can fall victim to repetition and consistent observations determined by our current environment. I dare you to break that mold, if even for a second, and look at yourself and those around you through a slightly different lens. Life is precious, and I hope this book reminds you of that. Enjoy my friends.
