Dancing with a Baptist
A Love Story in Poems
by Libby Stott

Overview

"A creature of the dust,

I broke my vows

to earth: I dreamt of heaven in our mouths,

touching."

A young poet finds love, a muse, and a difficult teacher in a married Baptist deacon.

Kirkus Reviews:

"Fine verse about falling in love, falling back out, and coming of age. . . .

Stott breathes new life into the 'lunacy of love' with the help of her poignant, unpretentious verse."

Dr. James Hollis, author of Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life

Stott's book contains "rich allusions and deep insights."
