Overview

If it isn't bad enough that Lulu, a society decorator, is virtually penniless with two kids, and an ex in jail, she now has to add falling for a would-be client betrothed to a mail-order bride to her woes? What does he care if Westerners don't get the beauty of arranged marriage, that is until Vikram, an Indian billionaire, collides with Lulu, a gorgeous train wreck of a woman he can't seem to forget. Set in New York and Marin County, California, this is a funny, sophisticated love story about the need to go beyond the 'skin' of our beliefs in order to reach the heart of what really matters.

About the author

Alexandra McGowan (name changed to protect the innocent) worked as an interior designer for 20 years in NYC and around Marin, In 2008, she wrote CURRY APPLE PIE, a roman a clef, that retells the fascinating stories of some of the people she met during her career.
