Cries from an Isolated Society

Love good and hate evil: That is what we must all remember as the world progresses in time. The sin of our fallen culture penetrates every facet of life deeper by the day, rationalizing its way from the mind to the heart as many become numb to its downward spiral away from God's grace. This is my way of blowing an air horn in the muffled ears of those who have brewed in a self-worshiping society for a little too long. Though I would not say that all my poems were written from a 100% "stable" state-of-mind (this was written during a grim season that led to mental renewal), my book brings awareness to the final destination of compromising with this world, and the hope of Christ, who patiently waits at our door.

I have a simple mission. I want to live with a soul that desires God above the pleasantries that this world has to offer, regardless of how subtle and persistent the act of these pleasantries are being shoved into our minds and lifestyles. I am tired of living without intimacy, without rest, without the humanly things God gave us as gifts to enjoy continually. Our way of life here in America hides away idols of the self, and the untrustworthy "security" of wealth in our private quarters, while the surrounding people pay for this false religion. My mission is to simplify, and to bring my attention to God at all times, while I learn more and more to divorce myself of this world and to become more intimate with the culture of God. I desire this for everyone around me. In the end, the choice is life or death, no matter how alluring the choice of death my seem at a first glance.
