About the author
Dr. Joe Ferry is a Pennsylvania-based record producer, bass player and college professor with multiple Grammy Nominations to his credit. Over a career spanning almost 35 years, Dr. Ferry has produced records and played bass on recording sessions for such noted artists as Huey Lewis & The News, The Skatalites, Dr.John, Langhorne Slim, Toots & The Maytals, Uzimon, The Big Ska Band and many more. His critically acclaimed productions are among the most famous of the last three decades, including “People Get Ready:A Tribute To Curtis Mayfield” (featuring David Sanborn, Vernon Reid and Huey Lewis & The News among many others), “Bluesiana Triangle” (Dr.John, Art Blakey, Dave Newman) and “Hi-Bop Ska” (The Skatalites). “Connected” is Dr. Joe Ferry’s first novel, although his has has numerous short stories and articles published in such magazines as Glasschord, Percussion, Bass Player & Bassics.
