Overview
This is a work of fiction, an entertaining beach read, based on the relationship and trials of a reporter at a large city newspaper and a parole officer. While it is fiction some of the story is based on fact but the names have been changed to protect the innocent, the guilty and the stupid.
Description
The story centers around a parole officer who is frustrated with the system and fights to go to work each day. He meets a reporter at a large city newspaper who is having the same problem and together they form a friendship that keeps them both sane while fighting the bureaucracy, mendacity of managers and general disgust of having to work in a system designed by geniuses to be run by idiots.
