Compass I 2023 Trilingual Journal

Compass is an anthology of work in three languages (English, Mandarin, and Spanish) by the students of HudsonWay Immersion School. In this first issue, "What Does Community Mean to Me? A Collection of Feelings & Opinions," students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 present their own original art and ideas in both English and their target language.

HudsonWay Immersion School focuses on four pillars of student development: academic excellence, second language proficiency, cultural competence, and social-emotional development. Compass is a trilingual journal that provides a glimpse of not just English, Mandarin, and Spanish fluency and literacy in elementary school children, but also meaningful development of character. HudsonWay Immersion School is a co-ed, private school providing preschool through 8th grade immersion education in Mandarin and Spanish with campuses in New York City NY and Stirling NJ.
