Seventeen-year-old Cassie is the youngest daughter of a wealthy cattle ranching family… and the reincarnation of the Trojan princess Cassandra. The ancient god Apollo has spent eons awaiting her rebirth. When he opens Cassie’s eyes to her innate powers of prophecy and Cassie has a vision of the brutal death of her beloved older brother Dallas, she knows she must stop the killer and save her brother's life. Cassie’s bravery will be challenged at every turn, however, as lust, obsession and magic are tinder for the violent flames of war which threaten not only Cassie’s life, but her entire world.

Rebecca Ida Hertz was born and raised on the east side of Los Angeles and has written creatively since she was a small child. At the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and then at Barnard College in New York City she studied playwriting and alternative narrative structures; she then studied writing for film in graduate school at the California Institute of the Arts. For the past twelve years, Rebecca has put her storytelling skills to work as a producer, director and writer of 'unscripted' television – most recently as the Co-Executive Producer of the comedic reality show, “King of the Nerds” on TBS. Her professional experience in the highly dramatic world of prime-time network & cable reality television has taught her how to create characters, suspense, how to stay up all night working to meet a deadline, and how to manage lots of very difficult but lovable people.
