About the author
Laura Banks made her debut in "Star Trek, the Wrath of Khan" and went on to star in three films for Roger Corman. She continued to become an accomplished stand-up comic and improviser with Whoopi Goldberg. Banks was a regular at the famed Improvisation and Comedy Cellar in New York City. In June of 2022, she was interviewed on CNN Brazil. She is a USA Today Bestselling Author, with 250,000 books sold, of Breaking the Rules (Career Press Publishers), and Embracing Your Big Fat Ass (Simon & Schuster) which she co-authored with Emmy Award winner, Janette Barber. She has been featured on ABC World News, MSNBC, Fox News, People Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Daily News, USA Today, Publisher's Weekly and the New York Post to name but a few. In addition, she has been featured on satellite tours and at least 100 radio shows.
