Overview
In "Church and State" we look at the true foundation of a great society. indelible in the structure are dynamic principles and morals that shape the future, the course, and direction of a newly born nation. Church and State appreciates boundaries set that the State won't cross without due process and probable cause and at the same time religious freedom based on biblical values which guided the thinking of the founding fathers would be encouraged to continue. Church and States seeks to compare and contrast the thinking of the founding fathers with the development of gross indulgencies in immorality today, and to point out that the outcome is predictable. We believe that Church and State will answer some questions for many people as they look at the position of the founding fatherts on many important subjects.
Description
The initial context of this history and foundation is the story of a people in search of peace and freedom consistent with their faith in the One True God. The spirit that drove them was efficacious and graceful in bringing them through difficult times, conditions, and circumstances well beyond the reach of their finite hands. What they had heard and witnessed was compelling. Their guiding light and words of wisdom, faith and comfort was the Holy Bible. Pilgrims put together the first contract on these shores for the glory of God. They had left the domain of Great Britain escaping the oppressive powers of the state church. In this hemisphere, there was not to be a King ruling the nation but a government of the people, by the people, for the people a democracy where the majority rule. The King may be replaced with an overbearing overextending, out of control government who do end-runs around the people in order to avoid the will of the people. They know that things like same sex marriage is not likely to meet the approval of the majority, so they make sure it ends up with the supreme court. All that is needed is 5 conscienceless judges who tease the constitution and have it say whatever is in the wind and as a mocking bird they write whatever they want the constitution to say. The source for guidance, wisdom, creativity, power to organize and direct in a positive way and bring people together was the Word of God . The constitution didn’t make wisemen, but wise men wrote the constitution. Without the wisdom of God, we will perish. It’s ironic that Madelyn O’hara’s son became a minister of the gospel. God always wins. Church and States points people to the foundation that undergirds our freedom and posterity. If we fall on this rock, we will be broken; If this rock falls on us, we'll be ground to powder.
