"Christian the Ball Picker" Christian lives in a small town with his loving Abuelo Juan, sharing mornings filled with laughter and healthy meals before heading to the golf course. Though he collects golf balls of all kinds, he dreams of playing for real—hitting the ball far, mastering his swing, and maybe even making a hole-in-one. But without proper clubs, and intimidated by skilled golfers at the range, he struggles to begin. Everything changes when Abuelo Juan finds a flyer for AmiGOLF Academy, a place where kids can learn and have fun. Encouraged by Abuelo, Christian decides to give it a try. To his surprise, the academy is welcoming, filled with friendly faces and an encouraging coach, LPGA pro Estela, who teaches confidence, positivity, and sportsmanship. Through practice, patience, and support from new friends, Christian slowly finds his rhythm. When the academy holds a mini tournament, his nerves return—but he remembers Estela's advice: "Enjoy the process, be positive and confident! ¡Sí se puede!" Taking a deep breath, he swings, sending the ball soaring down the fairway. It's not the perfect shot, but it's his best yet. Christian doesn't finish first, but he discovers the true joy of golf—not just in playing, but in sharing laughs, overcoming fears, and growing alongside his friends. He still helps Abuelo pick golf balls, but now, every afternoon, he returns to AmiGOLF Academy to play, practice, and enjoy the game with his amigos—dreaming of the day he'll make a hole-in-one, just like Abuelo Juan.

Estela Morales Segarra is a dedicated wife, mother of a young boy, an LPGA Class A Member, Founder of AmiGolf Academy, and Co-Founder of the CT Latinas Golf Team. With a passion for making golf fun, inclusive, and accessible, she leads programs that introduce the game to players of all ages and skill levels. Through initiatives such as LPGA inviteHER, LPGA Golf 101, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, PGA Jr. League, PGA Women's Clinics, PGA Hope, First Tee, and CardioGolf, Estela empowers individuals to develop their skills and confidence on the golf course. She works tirelessly to create welcoming spaces in the sport, particularly for underrepresented communities. Therefore, she serves on three LPGA committees: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), New Members, and Girls Golf Expert. Estela holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, which complements her work as a Financial Literacy Coordinator and Instructor at Hartford Public Library, where she equips individuals with essential financial skills. Additionally, she is a dedicated board member for several nonprofit organizations, where she advocates for empowerment through education and community engagement.
