About the author

The heart of a storyteller beats in the words of K.E. Kennell. Growing up along the sandy beaches and in the woods of Gulf Coast Florida nurtured his imagination. Those were the days when beach roads were sandy, and a trip to the State Park was along a gravely barely paved two-lane highway.

Along life’s road, Kennell dabbled in theatre, architecture, and building. On the way, he enthusiastically watched and listened to all those he met. He eventually realized he could have fun sharing their stories and began telling tales about those unique characters he'd met over the years.

For over a decade, Kennell wrote Get to Know feature articles for community newspapers around Florida. Featuring headlines like Geezer Jock, Sweet Shrimp, Mr. Oceanliner, and Hack Writer from Butt under mastheads such as The Creekline and Mandarin Newsline.

Now he brings the inspiration of those tales together into a series of novels. Christening Leena Too is the first in the four-book series Scuttlebutt from Scuppernong Cove. Enjoy the lives, smiles, laughs, worries, and dreams of the characters that this storyteller and writer of books brings to life.
