Chinese Laundry is a fast-paced, hilarious and often poignant journey into the tumultuous life of up-and-coming humor writer, Jonni Baker, a shiksa with a penchant for peppering her speech with Yiddish words. When Jonni’s debut book, "Used Parts", becomes a best seller, her career soars but her marriage crashes and burns. Subsequently, she marries her publisher, Josh Golden, and the two create an empire based on her books which takes them all the way to China. Once Josh partners up with the beautiful owner of a Chinese factory, Bao Ling, he promptly engages in another business on the side; “monkey business". After Jonni discovers the affair, she swears to get revenge on Josh, enlisting the help of her sidekicks who include her doctor ex-husband and his boyfriend, her girlfriends, and her menopausal, feminazi divorce attorney. Working together, the zany brain trust hatches a plot so sweet it’s like an éclair on steroids. Josh and Jonni’s lives turn into the ultimate cat and mouse game, guy vs. goy, as Jonni & Co. attempt to crumble Josh and his fortune cookie.
