Overview

CHECKMATE FOR THE INMATE is a workbook designed to help you become your best and guide you in successfully starting a business, so you can achieve financial independence. As an inmate, ex-offender, or veteran, you'll need strong life skills to reintegrate into society, and that's why I wrote this workbook.

My aim is to inspire you to believe in yourself and gain confidence in your abilities. I provide all the guidance, tools, and resources you need to get started. I even teach you how to play chess if you don't already know how, because chess, life, and business are closely connected. Embracing positive changes is important for your future success. Just like everyone else, you deserve love, success, and a good life. Always remember, the way you think, plan, and react to things makes all the difference! It's time to start your own business and checkmate your way to a better life!

FOREWORD is written by James E. McGreevey, Former Governor of New Jersey, Executive Director, Chairman of the New Jersey Reentry Corporation.
