About the author
Dave lives with his wife Rebecca and their cat Gabriel Horatio in North Carolina. His lifelong interest in the human condition as it pertains to the well being of our species as a single tribe of individuals whose differences, such as; culture, religious beliefs, and ethnicity keep them from recognizing their similarities, which include; their humanity (gene pool), the instinct to survive, and their hope that there is something meaningful about their existence, motivated him to seek out the common threads within the separate tribes of the world (the similarities within the perceived differences).
Over the last forty years or so his forays into the psychology, religions, and myths of humanity, revealed more similarities than differences. The fundamental truths offered to humankind by those rare individuals throughout history whose words were of a universal nature and meant to eventually transcend the family, clan, nation, and even our present day continental tribes have been muddled by time, differences in semantics, the obscuring nature of human misinterpretation, and also by small differences of opinion, sometimes of dubious motivation, that have even separated those encompassed within the same understanding.
To Dave’s way of thinking all of humanity is subject to one universal eternal that has developed compassion for all of humanity. It is for this reason that he offers this tale of the eternal and the temporal. There are no streets of gold, or fiery infernos. There is awakening to the eternal understanding, or slumbering until we are forgotten. It is up to each person to transcend the limited understanding of their tribe and become one who realizes “We are all one.”
It is Dave’s hope that this fictional adventure novel will be of value in this endeavor. There has never been a moment in human history where the changes in our perception of each other, and the eternal, could alter the legacy of the tribe that is the human species, and no better year to start than 2012.
