C'est Ma Vie

Born in Paris during perilous times, Muriel and her family must flee to the countryside during WW II. After they return to Paris, Muriel comes of age and grows into a vivacious and popular young woman curious about the world and the people she meets. True to her nature, Muriel takes a job as a translator and hostess at American Express on the Rue Scribe, helping foreign travelers navigate their way. At the same time, Jerry Bessinger is a handsome young American chemist who is visiting Paris and is preparing to return home to New York the next day. He stops inside the American Express office to get his mail. When the two meet, it's love at first site. Jerry asks Muriel to marry him - she says "oui!" -- and Muriel leaves her family, job, friends and beloved Paris for the unknown world of New York. Muriel then takes us along her life's journey of enchantments and challenges. There is heartbreak along the way, but Muriel shows us how to find a way around loss and set-backs.
