As a young girl she had always fantasized that vampires were real. Witches, warlocks, and ghosts were real. As she grew older she still fantasized vampires were real. She wished she could be a vampire. She felt her life would be so much easier if she was a vampire. After a trip to Romania a mysterious stranger entered her life. He sent her books and presents. She began having dreams of a past that seemed like hers. Then after a trip to Salem, Mass and a second trip to Romania her biological parents and sisters were in her life along with another mysterious stranger. Her life was filled with witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts. Did she become a vampire? Yes she did but she became more than just a vampire. She didn’t count on that. Was her life a lot easier when she became a vampire? Far from it. Witches, warlocks, vampires, and werewolves were trying to kill, possess, or kidnap her. They wanted to take her away from her world and bring her in theirs. Even her own father was trying to kill her. She was the only one of her kind. This book is the first chapter of her life. Who knows what other chapters of her life will unfold in the books that follow.

Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Samantha Cory grew up watching horror movies. The childhood of Alexandra written in “Careful What You Wish For” was actually Samantha’s childhood. She grew up loving witches, vampires, werewolves, and anything supernatural. That love was due to the original Dark Shadows television show. Things that went bump in the night never scared her. Samantha could hear the bats flying around her neighborhood. During the seventh grade, Samantha found out that she was related to two people accused of witchcraft. That was during the Salem witch trials, according to a family history book. With this knowledge, she dabbled in the occult, doing spells, séances, and even voodoo. Fall’s Samantha’s favorite season. Halloween’s her favorite time of the year. Her home can easily be found. It’ll be the one in the neighborhood with all the lights, decorations, and props. Her collection of Halloween decorations began in 1986 and is ongoing. The inspiration for “Care What You Wish For” was a Dracula Tour to Transylvania, Romania in 2010. Traveling all around Transylvania, Samantha learned about Vlad the Impaler. She fell in love with Romania during this dream come true trip. Samantha Cory lives with her husband and two cats outside Reno, Nevada. Yes, one of her cat’s is black.
