About the author
Sharon L. Johnson resides in the tiny village of Scandia, Pennsylvania on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest. She retired from an accounting career with the State of Pennsylvania and as a volunteer firefighter/EMT. With no formal journalism training, she began writing humorous poetry, short stories and composing newsletters. This, her first book came about after completing two backpacking adventures in Grand Canyon National Park with her husband, Ron. Sharon grew to love the spectacular scenery, mystery and serenity the Grand Crayon offers. The Johnsons have made it their bucket list to visit and hike in as many national parks as possible, reaching forty-five to date. Sharon's other interest include: spending time with family, gardening, photography, kayaking and volunteering for service organizations.
