About the author
Meryl Getline was a retired airline captain. She wrote her first book "The World at My Feet" in 2004."The World at My Feet" is an exciting, inspirational, and humorous book about her adventures in becoming an airline captain. Meryl retired in 2005 and had her first bout with cancer in 2007. Meryl's second book "Cancer We are not Amused" is the story of her journey with cancer. She wrote the last chapter just days before her death from this dreaded disease. A large portion of the book covers the last 340 days before her passing. This book is informing, inspiring, and is a testimony to her positive attitude and to the humor she portrayed in her life. Part of the story is about the discovery of her first Sarcoma in 2007 and the initial medical care, possibly the reason her life ended in 2019.
