Description

Junior Jackson, Jr, is the Scoutmaster of Troop 27 in Mabry, North Carolina. Some consider the Troop, which was founded by his father Junior Senior, to be doomed. Over a span of forty years the Scouts encounter demons – real and imagined, many self-imposed – that earn the Troop its reputation. Find a comfortable log near the fire, shield your eyes from the swirling smoke, and listen closely as the Scoutmaster spins his yarns.

About The Author

Mark McDowell (a.k.a. Junior Jackson, Jr.) is an Eagle Scout and the father, brother and uncle of Eagle Scouts. He was an Assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 72 in Cornelius, North Carolina, where he was frowned upon for his preposterous and grimace inducing campfire stories. By day he is an engineer and tech investor, but in the early morning hours he drinks tooth curling black coffee and pecks out stories that examine life, self awareness, coming of age, and leaving of age. Mark lives in North Carolina with his wife Jill, dividing his time between Lake Norman and Boone. Learn more at www.MarkMcDowellAuthor.com
