Butch & Sundance

Butch and Sundance were in Jail! They were kittens when they were taken from the only home they knew, the Farm where they were born. They found themselves in a big City where Jimmy and Sara loved them and took wonderful care of them. As they grew, they learned about holidays, pies, snow, and trees that grew in the living room. Follow Butch and Sundance as they get lost on a crazy, wild adventure.

Along their journey, they met critters who both helped them and those who would eat them! There were dogs, always barking in the distance, and coyotes who gave chase and almost caught them. They met feral cats who were wary of any new cats in their territory. Very quickly they learned to spend their daytime sleeps in the safety of Shelterbelt trees of the Midwestern prairie. Do they have enough energy for one more close escape? Will friends help them one more time? Will their adventure end in disaster? Will they ever find their Farm?

Aunt Mary has a really large family and has literally dozens of nieces and nephews. She lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with a couple of cats and she wanted all her younger family members to have a story about her favorites. Story telling has always been part of her family tradition and she loves to share stories with both kids and grownups. There have always been cats in Aunt Mary's life, but when Butch the cat came to live with her it was a whole different experience. Naturally, he became the hero of this story, along with his sidekick, Sundance. Since the cats like to "help" her while she writes, Aunt Mary waits until they nap. So, if they keep taking their naps every day, Butch and Sundance may have even more adventures.
